🎙🎼Nikki's First Recital.🎸
The song we’re attempting to play for our first-ever USplan recital is “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz from the album ‘We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.’ Hopefully, he (or Atlantic Records) doesn’t take too much offense to our butchering of this fine song. If you want to hear the real version, you can find it here: usplan.info/two/video/qp59uayTbIS2aXg.html

WHO ARE WE?
We’re Jason and Nikki Wynn. We been living #OffTheGrid and exploring the world for 10 years.
Our first six years of #travel were an epic road trip around North America.
Now we’re on a #sailing voyage about the world. Did we have any previous sailing experience, of course not!
Neither of us is overly talented, smart, rich, lucky, or retired. But that doesn’t stop us from reaching far-flung destinations, having wild #adventures and managing everything that makes living aboard a moving vessel possible.
We’re two ordinary people that just so happen to live an extraordinary life.
And this is why we publish our lives on the world wide web. We share in hopes of inspiring you to find your adventure.

@Gone with the Wynnssorry if I was misunderstood I've done some fresh water boating but still, I'm commenting on something I know nothing about I've never had to hire anyone to work on my car thanks to my dad you taught me preventative maintenance auto mechanic I had no intention of commenting criticism if either one of you my comment was more a lament about how ,nobody takes apart a starter or alternator on USplan anymore they just spend 20 bucks and replace it that's most likely a mini starter and you can take it apart and spray it with brake parts cleaner to get the dirt out of it and it will work just fine also clean the armatures with fine sandpaper or a fine nail file same for alternators or starters is often all they need , I take apart and fix things like that sewing machine to basically save stuff from going into the landfills by doing that you gain knowledge to be able to fix anything and that helps when you are stuck in a pinch although I can't imagine being stuck on a sailboat like that with the ocean and the elements in play that's a whole different level of being stuck., I've done this with my voice text so pardon me if you can't understand it

Both incidents combined cost me less than what i would of payed in insurance over the length of ownership. So point of my story is no back up plan = living life at its fullest. On the other side of fear is a lil place called bliss. Just gotta soldier through the fear first👌 im also aussie so i might be a lil bias so you come to aus ha

The most ironic part about this is that your insurance is the cause for you being coerced into making bad decisions to satisfy them. Leaving at the tail of cyclone season from a COVID-free country. Otherwise, you'd be better off staying there for multiple reasons. The prospect of shoving off on a Friday or April Fool's Day does not sound good. Wait two days or leave a day early, maybe. If you feel like you're about to do something stupid, you are. At that point, screw the insurance and wait. They'll replace your boat but not your lives.

  • John Lesich

    John Lesich

In other words, your insurance company won't tell you that you've been voiding your policy, once a day at sunset, until, you file a claim. Criminals. Your new insurance company can also use this footage to say the same, even if you stop now. They're just laughing at you. They LOVE your videos! Once again, free money!

  • John Lesich

    John Lesich

Please, let me insure you! Free money! If I have learned anything, it's that alcoholism is the greatest occupational hazard in sailing; fat girls try harder; and when money is concerned, the best criminals have the most.

Btw, how do insurance companies feel about the only two crew members onboard drinking alcohol while on-anchor? If you're driving past a cop, keep the spliff low. Think they're watching? Mmmhmm...

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but what are the cost differences in hiring an inspector and flying them to you? Somewhat similar to your family and friend “crew” for the Panama crossing? I know it doesn’t solve all the problems, but one less issue is one more knot toward the horizon.

Once you get the Italian passport your spouse can then apply for citizenship. You do NOT have to give up your American citizenships. Lots of countries are offering this setup. Two Questions. 1. How do you, or the nice folks in New Zealand know that your little cold is not actually Covid? 2. Why don't you have a Honda inverter generator as a backup?

  • Gone with the Wynns

    Gone with the Wynns

    Month ago

    1. Because there is no Covid in Tonga. They locked down their border very early on because, as a tiny island nation, they don't have the resources to fight something like Covid and it could have decimated whole populations on remote islands. 2. Because I'm not sure they could buy one in Tonga (which is where their generator broke) even if they wanted to. They can't even find a new starter for the one they have. Also, portable generators like that are a PITA on a boat. You can't place it near open windows, which is usually all of them. You need to put it where the wind will blow exhaust away from the boat and that can be a problem. And finally, even a small Honda generator takes up a LOT of the previous storage space on a boat. That's a big ask when you have other ways of charging batteries, like running the engines. Hope that helps! Curious Minion

When you get to shore, find some TUCK tape and keep some on board. It's used in the construction industry for sealing vapor barriers. The stuff sticks to anything tenaciously and is UV proof . in a pinch it could seal that window in so tight, it would take a class 5 hurricane and a tidal wave to knock it out. The downside of it's upside, is that it can be very difficult to remove once it's settled into place, to the point of almost having to sand it off. sold in hardware stores here in N/A, but may have an equivalent there.

I solved my insurance problem years ago. When it lapsed I took a look at the annual, and increasing, cost and did not renew. It has now been 30 years. The amount I’ve saved would buy a pretty good boat. A lot of the claims cost to insurance companies are from the big hurricane loses, especially in charter fleets not from the cruiser.

Lots of sex guys! Dirty, filthy out in the open...No holds barred sex! Get on top of the boat and let er rip! That's the only thing that would keep me grounded if I were in your current situation. Help each other and keep that sex life healthy! Amazing couple that should pass the test of time....If you take my advice! Happy sailing and God Speed.
